#Deafedmusthavesale – Rule the School

Here we are at the 25th of the month again.  Two resources are on sale today at 20% off.

Quick Guide for Your Student with Hearing Loss for General Education Teachers

Quick Guide for Your Student with Hearing Loss for General Education Teachers.

The first is the Quick Guide for Your Student with Hearing Loss.  This fully editable guide is for general education teachers with a student with hearing loss in their class.  It contains all important info such as accommodations and amplification down to case manager and who to contact for batteries.  It can be completed by a TD/HH or SLP or by the student as a learning and advocating activity!  Great follow-up to an in-person in-service.

Speaking of accommodations, the second resource on sale is Helping Hands.  One purpose for this activity is to teach a student about her accommodations, then document usage in the classroom.  However, it is completely editable so you can put anything in the squares.

It also comes with an editable data sheet containing the most common accommodations for students with hearing loss to document which they can explain, give an example of and whether you observe them using it.  You can easily delete those not included on the student’s IEP or 504 Plan.
